Mary Kate has always been passionate about working with children. As a teacher for students with disabilities, she is proud to advocate for inclusion, joy, and meaningful growth for every child she supports.
Her involvement with Hudson Valley HIEroes is rooted in her close relationship with her best friend Katelyn, her husband Dietz, and their daughter Logan. Through them—and through the friendships since formed with many other families affected by HIE—Mary Kate developed a strong commitment to HIE awareness and outreach. Witnessing the profound impact of HIE on children and their families has fueled her dedication to building a community where no family feels alone.
Mary Kate is excited to contribute to the mission of Hudson Valley HIEroes and to help ensure that children in the Hudson Valley affected by HIE receive the care, support, and compassion they deserve.
