Katelyn Farcher
Founder & President

Katelyn founded Hudson Valley HIEroes out of a deep love for her daughter, Logan, who sustained a hypoxic-ischemic brain injury (HIE) at birth. From the beginning, Katelyn’s unwavering commitment has been to show Logan that she is loved, valued, and celebrated exactly as she is.

A mother, teacher, and lifelong advocate, Katelyn has always believed in the power of community, connection, and giving back. She attended the College of Saint Rose, where she studied Elementary Education, and went on to spend three years teaching Pre-K. Whether in the classroom or the dance studio, she has always found fulfillment in guiding children toward confidence, growth, and joy.

Hudson Valley HIEroes was created with the steadfast support of Katelyn’s husband, whose encouragement helped transform a personal journey into a community mission. The organization stands as a testament to Logan’s resilience and to their family’s dedication to making a meaningful difference.

Through her leadership, Katelyn is committed to ensuring that Hudson Valley families affected by HIE feel seen, supported, and empowered—so no one has to navigate this journey alone.
